An infant and child chiropractor is a clinician capable of delivering gentle chiropractic care to a child, observing at all times the clinical parameters which would require that child to be referred to other health professionals where necessary.
Chiropractic care for infants and children can address and assist with conditions in children & babies such as; poor posture, scoliosis & traumatic birth syndrome.
Dr Glenn Maginness has a special interest in infants and children’s health and has seen only children in practice since 2002. He graduated in 1986 from RMIT University as a Doctor of Chiropractic and he completed a Masters degree in Chiropractic Paediatrics in 1998. Chiropractic for Pregnancy
Mt Eliza Chiropractic Clinic also provide chiropractic care throughout pregnancy
During pregnancy it is not uncommon for the expectant mother to experience pain and discomfort as her body adapts to the many changes taking place as a result of the growing child within her. We monitor the events taking place within your changing body with special emphasis on your spine and nervous system. Ensuring that the spine, pelvis and nervous system remain in optimal condition is our primary focus.
What Can I Expect From My First Visit?
On your first visit to our clinic we want you to feel comfortable and welcome. Your chiropractor will take a thorough case history followed by a physical examination. This may include testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard orthopaedic, neurological and postural examinations. Mt Eliza Family Chiropractic also now employs a postural assessment system utilising revolutionary technology that will detect subtle postural deviations and then make recommendations according to these findings, allowing us to formulate a more complete picture of your overall health and wellness.
This will allow the chiropractor to gain valuable information regarding your current health status so that a better understanding of how chiropractic may best help you is achieved.
