Your First Visit
During this initial visit you will be asked to fill out a simple form which will help us gain some information about yourself and your health history.
Examination
After a thorough case history your chiropractor will then perform a physical examination. This may include testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard orthopaedic, neurological and postural examinations.
Mt. Eliza Family Chiropractic employs a technology based postural assessment system which detects even the most subtle postural deviations, generates a report with you (or your child’s) individual postural images, and then analyses the data relating the postural distortions to your individual spinal biomechanics.
This will allow the chiropractor to gain valuable information regarding your current health status so that a better understanding of how chiropractic may best help you is achieved. Where necessary, the chiropractor may refer you for X-rays (bulk billed through Medicare) or refer you for additional testing procedures.
X-ray
X-rays are often required to complete a full evaluation of a patient. All X-rays are covered under Medicare
Report of Findings
Once all the examinations have been performed and all the information collated and analysed, your chiropractor will then present to you a report of his findings. It is at this time that your chiropractor will give you his recommendations for care.
